Goal
A local dev loop where editing the testrunner UI (
src/testrunner/**) live-reloads in a browser, driven by the gooey MR's suite (/Users/sufian/development/2026/gooey-identity, 523 tests / 20 files, excludingsrc/performance.test.tsx).Why
Needed to manually verify the three features (value diffs, visual refresh, perf) as we build them.
Where / current state
The testrunner is built to
dist/testrunner/(vite build) and served atnode_modules/@srhazi/gooey-test/dist/testrunner/testrunner.html#/<files>. Editingsrc/testrunner/**currently needs a full rebuild — too slow for UI iteration.Approach
Serve the testrunner from source with Vite HMR (not the prebuilt dist). Likely a
s/devscript + a Vite config in this repo, rooted so Vite can see the consumer's tests (server.fs.allow) — or lean on the planned@srhazi/gooey-test/viteplugin (see the vite issue). A removednode_modules/.headless.vite.config.ts(anfs.allowhack) was noted in PR #1's resume notes.Acceptance
